Springtime Thank You

Winter is one of my most favorite times of year but I couldn't help but get a little excited about spring when I was making this card...it still being December I have a loooong time to wait before spring arrives! I was able to complete two challenges this evening while making this card. The layout comes from Mojo Monday and the color combo is from the Stamping 411 Color Inspiration Challenge. I'm really liking this card..I think I may make some more in the future.
I won't be back till after the New Year...I've got a busy week of flying ahead of me. Have a Safe and Happy New Year and I will see you in 2011!
P.S. My New Year's Resolution is to go to bed earlier in 2011...shouldn't be too hard, right?

Saturday Sketch Challenge 183

The calm has finally settled in and I am going to spend the next couple of days reclaiming my home from the holidays. Not taking down any decorations quite yet just resuming all my daily chores that were put on the back burner to make way for holiday preparations. I took a few moments to myself tonight to make a card for Stamping 411's Saturday Sketch Challenge 183.

After all, I do need a thank-you or two for all the wonderful gifts I received this week!

I decided to keep with the Holiday Motif while making this thank you card...mostly because I hadn't yet opened my package of Candy Cane Christmas DSP and really wanted to use it!

I hope you enjoy what I have come up with.

It's a little hard to see in the photo but I threw on some clear embossing powder and heat embossed the ornaments to give them a shiny shimmer look.

Card Patterns Sketch 94

It was one hour until my niece's 10th birthday party this afternoon and I had no card for her. I had seen a sketch challenge earlier in the day over at Card Patterns while doing some blog surfing and thought I would kill two birds with one stone. Here's what I ended up with....

Saturday Sketch Challenge 180

Last week I worked a long 3-day trip with a really great crew. We had so much fun laughing that before I knew it the trip was over and I was on my way home. I wanted to send a personal thank you to one of my co-workers for being so kind during the trip. She filled my belly with all kinds of goodies during the trip...I think I spent the 3 days in a sugar coma! I thought the sketch over at Stamping411 would make a great thank you card for her.

Plus, I just received the Eastern Blooms stamp set and couldn't wait to use it!

MOJO Monday 168

I love the feeling of productivity! And today was one of the most productive days I have had in a long time. I wrapped Christmas Gifts, ran on the treadmill (training for my next 1/2 marathon begins next week!), designed and ordered my Christmas Cards (no, I don't make my own), and made a delicious dinner for my husband and I. My craft room was an absolute disaster so after I cleaned up the mess I thought I would sit down and complete a challenge before bed. I liked the Mojo Monday sketch and decided I would participate in this week's challenge. Here's what I came up with. Just got this Dasher stamp...I might have to start making my own Christmas cards! Love him!

Saturday Sketch Challenge 178

It's time for another challenge over at Stamping 411. The sketch this week was clean and simple. It left lots of room for interpretation. I decided to make a seasonal Thank You card in anticipation of some goodies I hope to receive next month. As usual, I added a touch of Dazzling Diamonds to the leaves of the tree to give it a snow-kissed look...I use that stuff like people use salt...
I put it on EVERYTHING!!!
I hope you all enjoy a blessed day tomorrow with wonderful Family and Friends!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge

3 Weeks in A Row!!! I'm on a roll! I have a dear friend who is 'owed' a Birthday card so I decided I would use the Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge as a guideline for her card. A challenge complete and a card made that I needed...two birds with one stone! Here is the sketch that was provided:And here is my card that I created. It's a little difficult to see in the picture but the cake and the frosting swirl are both accented with dazzling diamonds to give it a little more sparkle. The card recipient is a glittery kind of girl!!!

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #92

I spent my weekend working a VERY LOOOONG 3 day trip. And, I spent alot of it thinking about what my next post would be as I am determined to post 2 weeks in a row..it'll be a record!

Getting my creative juices flowing today was a struggle but overall I am pleased with how this mini 'thank you' card turned out.

I really like how clean and simple it is and I just love the color combo of Certainly Celery with Early Espresso.

This is the sketch that was provided for the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge:

Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge

So I haven't exactly stuck to my new year's resolution. But with 2011 looming just around the corner I thought now would be a great time to see if I could revive that resolution! I've been following a few blogs this past year and trying out some of the challenges on my own time. I've
been apprehensive about posting my creations. I finally overcame my fear with this one and liked it enough to post it for the world to see. Here goes!!

The challenge I tackled was the Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge. What a great sketch they provided!

And here is my interpretation of the sketch!

I really enjoyed creating for this challenge and think that quite possibly I'll be participating in more!
